Welcome to Mymmo! These General Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Mymmo platform, accessible via our mobile application and website (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By using our Platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
- Definitions
Mymmo: The Platform offered by Mymmo BV, located at Borsbeeksebrug 1, 2600 Berchem, Belgium.
User: Any person who uses the Platform.Service: All functionalities and information made available through the Platform.Contact: Mymmo can be contacted via email at support@mymmo.com, the chat on the website, or via the mymmo user in the app.
- Purpose of the Platform
Mymmo is designed to streamline communication within communities. The main pillars are privacy, structure, own language, and hyperlocal. - Access and Registration
Registration: Registration can only be done with your personal mobile number. Sharing a mobile number is not allowed and not possible.
Age restriction: You must be at least 16 years old to start your own community. Registration under 16 is allowed if you are invited by one of your parents to a community where your parents are also members and only if you have your own mobile number.Account: When registering, you must provide at least your real name. Mymmo works with real people. It is also recommended to complete your profile with a photo and date of birth.Misuse: It is forbidden to share accounts or provide third parties access to the Platform through your account.
- Use of the Platform
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform.
It is not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the Platform without prior written permission from Mymmo.The right of use is limited in that the User must refrain from actions that have or may have a detrimental impact on the proper functioning and security of the Platform and its other Users and/or on the use thereof. The use of the Platform must not conflict with these Terms of Use, applicable law, third party rights, and generally accepted internet behavioral rules.
The following actions are strictly prohibited:Using software programs aimed at collecting and obtaining data, including spiders, crawlers, robots, and similar software. This list is by no means exhaustive.Using the Platform and its data for spamming, chain letters, junk mail, and/or similar variants.Stalking other Users and/or trying to convince other Users of political and/or religious beliefs.Distributing illegal or pornographic content.Gaining unauthorized access to other Users’ profiles.Using a foreign identity and/or foreign data during registration.The above list is by no means exhaustive.Mymmo reserves the right to take all reasonable and appropriate measures if the User acts in violation of these Terms of Use and/or applicable legal rules, third party rights, or generally accepted internet behavioral rules. Mymmo retains a wide margin of choice regarding the taking of a sanctioning and remedial measure and the scope of that measure. However, measures will always be proportionate to the infringement.
Mymmo has, among other things, the possibility to undertake a temporary and/or permanent suspension of the right of use, as well as the removal of a User profile. In addition, Mymmo can limit the User’s general access to and access to functionalities on the Platform in whole or in part, temporarily or permanently.
When circumstances require, these measures can be taken without any prior warning or notice. The User can in no case claim compensation for the measures taken.
If the User considers that the measure taken is inappropriate or unfounded, he must report this to Mymmo within fifteen (15) calendar days after the measure has been imposed. Mymmo will consider the arguments without, however, being obliged to undo the initial measures.Safety and positivity are core values of Mymmo. If a User feels shortchanged in these values, we always ask to report this via Contact.
- Free platform
The use of Mymmo is free for all users. At no point will Mymmo ask a user for payment.
If a User is asked for this, we explicitly ask to report this via Contact.
- Liability
Limitation: Mymmo is not liable for direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the Platform, unless there is intent or gross negligence.
Use at own risk: The Platform is provided “as is”. We cannot guarantee that it will be error-free or available at all times.Adjustments: Mymmo continuously develops the Platform. The input of our Users is crucial in this. Suggestions can always be sent via Contact.
However, Mymmo cannot commit to a specific timing for implementation, let alone retain these suggestions. Mymmo does commit to providing feedback on every suggestion made.
- Privacy
Mymmo attaches great importance to your privacy. All data processing takes place in accordance with our Privacy Statement and applicable legislation (such as GDPR). - Intellectual Property Rights
All content and technology on the Platform are the property of Mymmo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property rights. It is forbidden to use these without permission. - Changes
Mymmo reserves the right to change these General Terms and Conditions. We will inform you of substantial changes. - Applicable Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law, including the relevant international treaties.
